And who gets the credit for the intelligence that supposedly found Osama Bin Laden?

The torturers in CIA black sites overseas and at the American concentration camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba are being credited with obtaining the intelligence that supposedly led to Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan.

From Newser.com: Bin Laden Intel May Have Come From Gitmo: Rumsfeld

From the StarTribune.com: Officials: CIA interrogators at secret prisons developed first strands that led to bin Laden

From Chron.com: Aggressive interrogations gave U.S. leads on bin Laden location

From Daily Caller: Did enhanced interrogation lead U.S. to Osama bin Laden?

So, you see, the bogeyman Bin Laden who was a created by the CIA -- funded and trained through the 1980s, used as an asset through the '90's and beyond -- is now being held up as a justification for torture.

Anyone who knows anything about interrogation techniques will tell you: torture doesn't work.

Torture elicits bullshit.

Under torture, people say anything their tormentors want to hear, true or not, simply to make them stop.

Torture is a sadistic, counter-productive, enemy-producing endeavor.

Since the US "War on Terror" is all about manufacturing an enemy, torture has fit the bill quite well.

The fact that America's torturers are being given the credit for the so-called "intelligence" that led the alleged killing of Osama Bin Laden is the most odious detail yet to come out of this nauseating, unfolding story.
